The Business Problem

How can one brand cater to the needs of a multifaceted customer, while breaking away from the sea of sameness? It’s not just a variety of colors they crave, but also texture, style, and individuality. 


Over the course of 2 weeks, the team visited different nail polish retailers. They observed shoppers choosing polishes, various colors, and in several cases, even saw shoppers open a bottle of polish to try it on their own fingernail, or on the display. 

We aim to understand the nuances that comprise an individual.
